We hope you are making plans to attend the August Retro party while rooms are available, remember you can always cancel 24 hours prior to arrival if your plans change! It’s hard to believe that by then, summer will be over for many and almost over for everyone else, especially if you have kids going back to school. While a room is never required to attend one of our events, couples who do get a room tell us they have a lot more fun! Treat yourself to a weekend of fun!
Hotel Information
You may have noticed at our July party that the hotel is changing names. As of this newsletter, all we know is a name change is in the works and may occur any day. Any changes in policy, rooms, rates, etc will be detailed as soon as they become available to us. When the hotel was purchased in 2002, over 3 million dollars in renovations were completed. Under the new name, renovations to bring it up to the standards of the new brand may occur. Currently a 3-star hotel, we can only imagine how the best can only get better!

The fun begins August 13, 2010 with our Karaoke Meet and Greet, kicking off this spectacular weekend, singing, dancing and partying the night away, getting ready for the event on Saturday the 14th. This event is free to SLS members, simply purchase your drinks from the bar (discounts available for members too!). Stay the night at the hotel for the same rate of $60+tax and be sure to register for Saturday’s event so you can bypass the line at the door.
Our members range from their early 20′s into their 60′s with most in their 30′s and 40′s. We’ve all grown up with great music, clothing and dance moves, including Disco, the Macarena,and more. Have you looked back at those high school pictures and hairstyles? Unbelievable right? Remember the leisure suit? Polyester? And we thought it would never ever come back!
Well, guess what? The Foothills Club is bringing it back to Spartanburg. We are sure you can find that sexy outfit to wear this evening regardless of the era! Join us for this blast to the past, a fun and eventful evening we will all remember.
Remember, we provide a no pressure, safe, secure and discreet environment for our members. We also provide an Open Bar, however, if you have had too much to drink, please do not drive; your comfort and safety is our number one priority! The party doesn’t end at Midnight; it’s just getting started.
The excitement is building for this spectacular weekend and we know you will not want to miss this event. Rooms will go quickly; available on a first come, first serve basis. Room rates are only $60+tax each night and our Retro Night Event is priced at the SLS discounted donation of $35 (normally $40).
There may be other parties scheduled this weekend, however, there won’t be another event like the one at The Foothills Club. We may have to limit the number of couples due to the size of the ballroom, so reserve your spot today!
